A New York developer wants to put another big apartment building in the pipeline for a busy North Side shopping district, proposing an almost 400-unit residential tower near the intersection of North and Clybourn avenues.

The Georgetown Company is seeking to construct a 37-story, 396-unit building at 1565 N. Clybourn Ave., according to an email to constituents from 2nd Ward Ald. Brian Hopkins. The developer wants to rezone the property to allow for high-rise development, replacing the former Bank of America building but keeping an adjacent two-story retail building and four-story, 158-space parking garage on the site.
